Our refund policy
Thank you for choosing a Lovers plan. We want to be completely open with you before you buy, so that nothing comes as a surprise.
We are truly sorry, but we are unable to offer refunds for subscription payments, including for any unused time left in a monthly or yearly period.
Why we work this way
When your plan starts, every feature it includes is switched on for you straight away and stays available for the whole period you have paid for. Because the service is delivered in full from the very first moment, we keep one simple rule that is the same for everyone, rather than deciding case by case.
This also keeps prices as low as we can make them. We know that this may be disappointing, and we would much rather explain it honestly now than have you find out later.
You can cancel anytime
Cancelling stops all future renewals, and you are never charged again for that plan.
After cancelling, you keep everything your plan includes until the end of the period you have already paid for. Then your account simply returns to Free. Your profile, matches and conversations stay exactly as they are.
How to cancel: on the web, tap “Manage subscription” on the Plans screen. For the App Store or Google Play, cancel in your store account’s subscription settings (“Manage subscription” in the app takes you there). For App Store and Google Play subscriptions, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid the next renewal.
Deleting the app or your Lovers account does not cancel a subscription, so please cancel it first.
Bought through the App Store or Google Play
If you subscribed on an iPhone, iPad or Android device, you paid Apple or Google, not us. Refunds for those purchases are decided by Apple or Google under their own policies, and we cannot issue or block them.
App Store: go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, choose “Request a refund” and select the Lovers purchase. You can also find your purchase in the email receipt Apple sent you.
Google Play: open your Order history at play.google.com (or in the Google Play app), find the Lovers purchase and choose “Request a refund” or “Report a problem”. Google can usually help directly within 48 hours of a purchase.
If Apple or Google refund a payment, the plan it paid for ends at that point.
Accidental duplicate subscriptions
You can only have one plan at a time, and the app checks this before every purchase. To change plan, you cancel your current plan and choose a new one once it has ended.
If a second subscription is ever created by mistake while you already have one, it never changes your plan. On the web, it is cancelled and refunded in full automatically, to the original payment method. Your bank may take a few days to show it.
If it happened through the App Store or Google Play, please write to us and we will help you get the duplicate cancelled and refunded through the store.
Your right of withdrawal (EU and UK)
Consumers in the EU and UK normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. Because your plan starts immediately, at checkout we ask you to confirm that you want it to start right away and that you understand you therefore lose this right of withdrawal. Your plan only starts once you have confirmed this.
Your legal rights
Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law, for example if a plan was not provided as described.
If something goes wrong
If you were charged but your plan did not switch on, if you see a charge you don’t recognise, or if anything else feels wrong, please don’t worry and don’t wait.
Write to us at support@getlovers.app. Tell us the email address of your Lovers account and, if you can, where you paid and when. We will look into it personally and come back to you as quickly as we can.
