The short version
Our website and the web version of the Lovers app use no advertising cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels and no social media plugins, and nothing that follows you to other websites. Our fonts and images are served from our own site, so your browser does not contact Google or anyone else when you visit.
We only store the few things the site needs to work. Because they are strictly necessary, the law does not require your consent for them, but we want you to know exactly what they are.
What our website stores
lovers.cookies (in your browser’s storage): remembers that you have seen our cookie notice, so it does not appear on every page. Kept until you clear your browser’s storage.
lovers.lovy.web (in your browser’s storage): only if you ask Lovy a question on our website. It keeps that day’s question and answer so the page can show them again, and is erased the next time you visit on a later day.
Cloudflare, which hosts our website, does not set cookies for it, except a strictly necessary security cookie (__cf_bm) if its protection needs one to stop automated attacks. That cookie lasts at most 30 minutes.
What the web version of the app stores
If you use Lovers in your browser, your sign-in session is kept in your browser’s storage so you stay signed in, together with small app preferences (keys starting with lovers.), such as which new matches you have already seen. They are removed when you sign out.
Your conversations with Lovy are not stored in the web version: they last only while the page is open.
If you buy a plan on the web, you pay on Stripe’s own secure page (checkout.stripe.com), which uses its own cookies under Stripe’s privacy policy. Those cookies are set by Stripe, not by Lovers.
Your choices
You can delete everything listed here at any time by clearing your browser’s cookies and site data for getlovers.app. The website keeps working; you will just see the cookie notice again, and the web app will ask you to sign in.
If we ever want to use something that is not strictly necessary, such as analytics, we will ask for your consent first, and you will be able to say no.
More about your data
Our Privacy Policy explains everything else we do with personal data, including Lovy and our website. Questions? Write to us at support@getlovers.app.
